Biography

Background

Sasha earned an M.S. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from the University of Michigan and a B.S. in Neuroscience, magna cum laude, from Eastern Michigan University. Prior research in Sarah Kargbo-Hill’s lab examined how environmental pollutants and neuronal stress affect TDP-43 function and RNA splicing, using stem cell-derived neurons, fluorescent reporters, and image analysis in Python and R. Earlier work in Hannah Seidel’s lab investigated MITF mutations associated with leucism in ball pythons. Sasha is a Cellular and Molecular Biology Ph.D. student at the University of Michigan and is rotating in the Boyle Lab.
