Our method to enrich for MEIs using nanopore sequencing is published in Nature Communications! This study combines Cas9-targeted enrichment with nanopore sequencing to capture active mobile-element insertions in their full genomic context. The approach produces strong enrichment across multiple MEI classes and uncovers insertions in repetitive regions that standard long-read pipelines missed.
